Great Yarmouth tourism board using AI to boost visitors
Tourism bosses are hoping artificial intelligence can boost the number of visitors into Great Yarmouth.
Visit Great Yarmouth has started using a new tool which analyses footfall data in the town.
The platform, designed by Place Informatics, gathers information about how many people visit certain areas and where they are coming from.
The company uses technology to collect data about where people go.
There are hopes the information will help Great Yarmouth Tourism plan better marketing campaigns – as they will be able to see where tourists are coming from and then focus their advertising there.
Asa Morrison, CEO of Visit Great Yarmouth, said having access to the platform helps them make their advertising and promotions “more effective”.
This year, more than seven-and-a-half million holidaymakers are expected to flock to the town.
